๐Ÿ’ก General Questions
Do these tools require jailbreak or root? +
No. Every tool we recommend works without jailbreaking your iPhone or rooting your Android. Jailbreaking and rooting can damage your phone, void your warranty, and create security risks. The tools we cover work through a normal USB connection to your computer, leaving your phone untouched.
Do the tools work on iOS 26.4 and Android 16? +
Yes. We test every tool on the latest iPhone 17 Pro Max running iOS 26.4 and on current Android phones running Android 16. The tools we recommend get updated regularly to support new operating system releases. If a tool ever falls behind, we update our guide or remove it.
Are the tools you recommend safe? +
Yes. We only recommend tools from established companies like iMyFone, which has over 12 years of experience. These are legitimate paid software products, not malware or scams. We test each tool ourselves before recommending it. Always download from the official source, never from random third-party sites.
Why do I need a computer for these tools? +
Apple and Google lock down location and security features tightly on phones. A desktop tool connected via USB can change these settings safely without modifying your phone's system files. This is why the reliable tools run on Windows or Mac and connect to your phone with a cable.
๐Ÿ“ GPS & Location Spoofing
Is GPS spoofing legal? +
For personal use, GPS spoofing is legal in most countries. Changing your own phone's location for gaming, privacy, or testing is not illegal. However, using it to commit fraud, stalk someone, or break specific app terms of service can have consequences. Always check the laws in your country and use these tools responsibly.
Will I get banned from Pokemon GO? +
Only if you break the cooldown rules. Niantic bans players who teleport too fast. The tools we recommend include a Pokemon GO mode with cooldown timers that match Niantic's rules. Most spoofers play for years without bans by following these timers. Read our Pokemon GO spoofing guide for the full cooldown chart.
Can I hide my location on Life360 without anyone knowing? +
Yes. Pausing your location or turning off GPS sends an alert to your Life360 Circle. Faking your location does not trigger any alert because Life360 still sees a normal location. Read our Life360 guide for step-by-step instructions.
Does a VPN change my GPS location? +
No. A VPN only changes your IP address, not your actual GPS coordinates. Apps like Pokemon GO, Tinder, and Life360 read your real GPS signal, not your IP. So a VPN will not work for location spoofing. You need a dedicated GPS spoofing tool.
Can apps detect that I am using fake GPS? +
The tools we recommend change the system-level GPS coordinates that apps read. Most apps cannot tell the difference between a real and spoofed signal. The exception is Pokemon GO, which detects unrealistic movement. As long as you follow the cooldown rules, detection is very unlikely.
๐Ÿ”’ iPhone Unlock & Passcode
Will unlocking my iPhone erase my data? +
Yes. Removing a forgotten iPhone passcode always erases the data on the phone. This is Apple's security design and there is no way around it. You can restore your data afterwards if you have an iCloud or iTunes backup from before you got locked out. Read our iPhone unlock guide for details.
Can these tools bypass iCloud Activation Lock? +
No. Screen passcode removal and iCloud Activation Lock are two different things. Tools like LockWiper remove screen passcodes and the Apple ID signed into the phone, but they cannot bypass iCloud Activation Lock if Find My iPhone was enabled by the original owner. For Activation Lock, a different tool called iBypasser is needed.
Is it legal to unlock my own iPhone? +
Yes. Removing a passcode from your own iPhone is completely legal in most countries. Using these tools on a stolen iPhone or one that does not belong to you is not legal. Always make sure the iPhone is yours or that you have permission from the legal owner.
My iPhone says "iPhone is disabled." Can I fix it? +
Yes. The "iPhone is disabled" message appears after too many wrong passcode attempts. An unlock tool can remove the passcode and get you back into your phone. The data will be erased, but you can restore from a backup. See our unlock guide for the steps.
๐Ÿ’ณ Pricing & Trials
Is there a free trial? +
Yes. The tools we recommend offer a free trial so you can test if they work for your situation before paying. The trial usually lets you see if your device is supported and try the basic features. No credit card is needed to start the trial.
How much do the tools cost? +
Prices vary by tool and license length. Most tools offer monthly, quarterly, yearly, and lifetime license options, and the companies often run discounts. The best way to see the current price is to start the free trial, which shows you the live pricing with any active deals. Check our Purchase page to compare plans.
Do you earn money if I buy through your links? +
Yes, and we are upfront about it. When you buy through our affiliate links, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. You pay the same price either way. This is how we fund the site. Read our Affiliate Disclosure for full details.
Can I get a refund if the tool does not work? +
Refund policies are set by the software companies, not by us. Most reputable tools like iMyFone offer a money-back guarantee within a set period, usually 30 days. Always read the refund policy on the seller's website before buying. If a tool does not work for you, contact the seller's support directly.
